Artists with an appetite for living in a community setting are encouraged to apply.
Summer 2019 fees:
$1275 plus HST for single room accomodation and $1150 plus HST for shared living quarters. Fees are in Canadian dollars.
This fee plus HST includes accommodation, several shared dinners, garden fresh produce, work and studio space, artist talks and an afternoon sharing of work in progress with visitors and guests at the end of the program. In addition, residents typically contribute up to $100 (on average) to food costs during the Residency.
We provide letters of support for individual artists and are currently exploring funding options to defray your costs.
One fully funded bursary is available for an Ontario based artist to join us in Prince Edward County.
Emerging and/or established Ontario artists who believe their practice would benefit from participating in Alchemy and do not have the financial means to do so are encouraged to apply.
The bursary covers accommodation in a single room, studio/work space, programming, and an Open Studio event for the local community, and shared meals (valued at $1275.00 plus HST). Please note travel costs are not included.

Applications must include:
· a bio/artist statement (250 words)
· an artist CV (max three pages)
· a letter of intent (up to 500 words) outlining why you should be considered for this bursary, why you would like to join us, and initial thoughts about the project you hope to undertake. Your application must also address the following:
o An understanding of how your practice intersects with what Alchemy offers (Please note the four pillars of our programming: Art, Garden, Food and Community.)
o What attending Alchemy will contribute to your practice
o An acknowledgement that you do not have the funds to attend afford without financial assistance. This information is confidential between you and the Selection Committee.
· Up to 10 images of your artwork and/or a link to a website.
